I've been a bad boy

I wanted to email you earlier, but I couldn't. My ESP — ConvertKit — shut down my account. The good news is that I was able to get it back.

So, here we are. Together once again.

What went wrong?

I started a side project that violated their terms of service. I wasn't intentionally trying to break the rules. In fact, they only found out about what I was doing after I submitted a ticket, asking for help with setting it up. The lesson here is to be very, very careful when it comes to setting up your marketing. We're at a point in history when even the slightest chance of a privacy or ethics violation leads to massive outrage and lawsuits. Be very careful!

Anyway, we'll now return to our regular schedule.

For those of you who joined my free Copywriting 101 course — thanks!

It's a simple course and that's the point. I'm not trying to create 40 hours of videos for you to binge on. Nor am I trying to keep it complicated with charges, diagrams, and downloadable PDFs. The course is literally just writing, like my emails. It always make me a little curious why people use videos and other complicated teaching methods to teach copy. There are literally two things that'll make the biggest difference in improving your copywriting skills: reading and writing.

Everything else is a distraction.

If you haven't yet had a chance to grab my course (take you from newbie to knowing the basics in just 15 minutes), you can get it for free here.
