What Stops Me From Trusting You
If you're the type of person who preaches "must-follow" advice — without having personal experience in the topic — I won't trust you.
Sorry, but ain't nobody got time for that.
I'm sure people who repeat generic advice mean well ...but unless they personally have skin in the game, I ain't listening.
Case in point: Copywriters who teach direct-response copywriting, yet have yet to spend more than $100 of their own money in advertising.
I don't get it.
Listening to someone's advice about copywriting — who has yet to spend money — is like taking swimming lessons from someone who's scared of dipping his toes in the pool (even the shallow end).
But here's what I do get.
Spending your money can be scary. Direct-response advertising is — in a way — like gambling.
You place your bet. You hope for the best and roll the dice.
Sometimes you win. But often what happens is, you fail.
Yet, overall — you learn.
It takes a specific type of marketer to have the cajones to do this.
Spending money on advertising isn't for everyone, unfortunately. Some people just can't do it, which is why they hire someone like me.
Anyway — I figured out the reason why people who have products or services resist spending money on advertising
Wanna know why?
It's because they're scared.
They're scared of the unknown. And, overall, they lack the confidence in their campaigns.
But what if I had something slightly "weird" that would make these fears go away... forever?
Something ...strange ...that anyone can use — that's scientifically proven to work! — that determines the success (or failure) of any marketing campaign, before a single buck gets spent on advertising?
